Ray William Recksiedler died Sept. 25, 2010. He was born May 15, 1943 in Morden, Man. to Wilheim and Bertha Recksiedler. The family moved to B.C. when Ray was 3, later settling on a dairy farm near Newton, B.C., where Ray got his first taste of hard work, mucking out the barns and milking cows before school. Ray did construction all his life; from working at the sawmill to becoming a lumber grader and inspector. He went on to design and coordinate scaffolding projects. He also worked on commercial projects before building high-end homes in West Vancouver. Feb. 12, 1966, Ray married Margaret Joyce Watt. Ray enjoyed family vacations fishing and camping throughout B.C. In December 2004, he was baptized into South Langley (B.C.) Church where he helped out wherever he was needed. Ray is mourned by Margaret; daughters Lana, Lora Lee; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings.
