Deaths-Mary-HareMary lost her sister on her family’s flight from Russia in 1929. They settled in Saskatchewan. When she was 12, Mary accepted Jesus as Saviour at vacation Bible school. In 1938, the family moved to B.C. Mary attended 2 winters of Bible school and normal school in Vancouver, later taking courses in Victoria and at University of B.C. She taught 33 years in Surrey, Summerland, and Burnaby, B.C. When Richard’s health failed, Mary returned to teaching while he looked after the children. After retirement, Mary found fulfillment making quilts with the ladies mission circle. She had a gift for reciting poetry. When she learned she was dying, the song “All the way my Saviour leads me” comforted her. Mary loved her family dearly.
