In her first years of marriage, Kay survived tuberculosis. She enjoyed many years of work at Woodward’s, Vancouver. At Fraserview, she was a devoted Sunday school teacher, Pioneer Girls’ leader, MOPS volunteer, deacon, librarian, and Seniors’ Club treasurer. Kay made time to care for family members in need, and volunteered 2 days each week at the MCC thrift store. Kay suffered a stroke at her Green Lake, B.C., cabin July 11.
