Johnny attended high school in Pilot Mound, Man. After a year at Winkler (Man.) Bible Institute, he helped on the family farm. Johnny and Eileen started their own grain and dairy farm nearby. Johnny had an amazing work ethic. His commitment to church and community involvement included serving on the Pool Elevator committee and social committee, as a school trustee and boys’ club leader, and by ushering and coaching. In 1997, Johnny and Eileen moved to LaRiviere, Man. One of his greatest joys was teaching his sons to curl. He was a great encourager, role model, and prayer warrior.
