“To some, the state of the world may seem hopeless,” said the new head of Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, B.C. “But it’s not. And that is why I love working with young people.”

Bryan Born addressed more than 100 friends and colleagues Mar. 10 in an installation ceremony at his home church, Ross Road (MB) Community. He is the seventh president of the modern-day CBC, a cooperative endeavour of the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and Mennonite Church British Columbia.

The audience provided colour in the pews of Ross Road Community (MB) Church, Abbotsford, Mar. 10. Bryan Born’s installation service as president of Columbia Bible College drew a mix of well-wishers, including academics and church officers, faculty and staff, students, and friends. There now are more than 9,000 Columbia Bible College alumni across the globe.
