The executive board provides overall direction, governance, and fiduciary oversight to the Canadian MB Conference. Here’s a brief introduction to some of its newer members, affirmed at Gathering 2012.

In your opinion, what is the most important task of the executive board?

To pursue good stewardship of CCMBC human and financial resources with excellence, and to continually earn the confidence of the constituency through applying biblical wisdom and careful decision making in a manner that reflects the wishes of the constituency.

What do you hope to see the executive board accomplish for the Canadian conference? 

Rebuild trust and confidence in the conference and executive board as we collaboratively develop a ministry vision under God’s guidance.

In your opinion, what is the most important task of the executive board? 

To hear God’s voice and follow his directions whether they come through prayer, reading the Bible, or listening to congregants, lay leaders, and pastors from our churches from coast to coast.

Update: After Gathering 2012, Len Penner took the office of assistant moderator; Victor Martens, secretary. Both were previously members at large. Since study conference 2011, Brian Cooper (BFL chair) and Terrance Froese (BFL vice chair) represent the board of faith and life (BFL) on the executive board.
