At its annual meetings in Fresno, Cal., June 8–9, 2012, the Mennonite Brethren Historical Commission approved development of several new grant programs, including an undergraduate student internship program, and stipends for research related to MB women. The Commission is developing digital resources to make their archival collections more widely accessible. Soon, online versions of Mennonite Brethren history books will be available at www.mbhistory.org. The Commission reviews manuscripts for possible publication, and produces the quarterly “Profiles” series distributed to local congregations and available online. Commission members are elected by the Canadian and U.S. conferences of MB churches. Pictured (l–r) are members Richard Thiessen, Dora Dueck, Don Isaac, Valerie Rempel, Peter Klassen, Ben Stobbe, Abe Dueck (retiring chair), Jon Isaak, Peggy Goertzen, executive secretary Andrew Dyck (tendered resignation due to MBBS-CMU faculty appointment), Kevin Enns-Rempel.
