Groundbreaking nears for MCC BC’s new complex

Abbotsford, B.C.

MCC BC new site2B.C.’s Mennonite Central Committee is hoping for a mass groundbreaking event for its new head office/warehouse/retail complex in Abbotsford June 22. Following the MCC BC annual general meeting in the morning, supporters will gather on the land on Gladys Avenue to dedicate ground.

If the fundraising effort reaches the $10 million goal in time, there will be more than a dedication on June 22. Attendees will be invited to bring their shovels so everyone can participate in turning the sod for the new Legacy building project.

On the previous evening, MCC BC is celebrating 40 years of thrift stores with a fundraising concert featuring Brian Doerksen and the Ambassadors at Central Heights Church, Abbotsford. See bc.mcc.org/getinvolved/40years and bc.mcc.org/gathering for details.
