On a personal note, this is my last issue at the editor’s desk before I embark on another maternity leave. For my family, the transition means another baby in our lives. Sophia is looking forward to her new role as a big sister!
For the Herald, the transition means a new interim editor, and I’m pleased to announce that Jonathan Janzen will step into this role. J, originally from Manitoba, lives in Abbotsford, B.C., and has just completed his masters degree at Regent College. He is also a pastor at Highland Community Church. J, who was a radio producer at Family Life Network for five years, is a gifted writer and communicator with a passion to see people grow in their relationship with Jesus. He’ll work half-time from Abbotsford, while continuing his half-time pastoral role at Highland.
Karla Braun will become the Herald’s associate editor, taking on some added responsibility for the year, and Angeline Schellenberg will join the team as part-time copy editor.
